Request Staff Training

As part of the Ristretto Roasters wholesale program, we offer comprehensive training for all staff at new accounts and continuing education for new management staff at existing accounts. Our three part training curriculum reflects the same techniques and standards that we utilize for our own staff, and is taught by a senior Ristretto barista.

RR Basics: New Staff Orientation
This session covers the elements of the Ristretto Roasters recipe including "dialing in” and pulling shots, adjusting grind, and what to expect from the blend. Also includes an overview of beverage and milk steaming basics.

Special Focus 1: Milk Steaming/Latte Art
This session will focus on increasing skill with milk steaming (both dairy and alternatives), and creating simple latte art for more attractive presentation.

Special Focus 2: Beverage Building Blocks
This session reviews the recipe elements and proportions for traditional espresso service beverages (macchiato, cortado, cappuccino, latte) and the basics of flavored lattes/mochas.
