Ristretto Roasters produces handcrafted coffees. We roast in small batches and specialize in a medium roast. We offer four blends – Beaumont, Cowboy, Tres Burros and sugar- process decaf – suitable for every brewing method.
Ristretto also features a roster of single-origin coffees. Our offerings change with the seasons, with what farmers we work with are growing, and what we love drinking now.
Ristretto founder Din Johnson sources our coffee beans. We work directly with coffee farmers in Brazil, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia and other coffee-producing countries.
We roast coffee at our roastery in Northeast Portland, near the Rose Quarter. Our coffees are available at five Ristretto Roasters cafes in urban Portland. We wholesale coffee to local cafes, restaurants, and markets. Ristretto has been featured on the Google campuses in Washington and in bakeries in Hong Kong. We mail order to thousands of home customers and small businesses. Delivery and shipping are fast because fresh coffee is great coffee.
What else happens at the roastery, besides Josh Gibby manning the vintage UG-22 Probat roaster, and Mike Washburn keeping our deliveries on target, and Hank Williams and Jesus Lizard playing on the sound system? We cup coffees on two granite cupping-tables we brought back from a sourcing trip to Brazil. We brush-up on our barista skills, train wholesale customers, and have a beer at the end of the day.
